Andy Taylor takes a look at My Fishing Flies Floating Fry – barbless
New for the autumn of 2019 is a range of barbless floating fry patterns, which are sure to catch the eye of the angler and trout alike! Coming in six different styles, Blood Red Sparkle, Blue Scale, Pink Scale, Prawn Floating, White and UV White these fry patterns are tied on good quality barbless hooks. Some of the patterns are tied on a wide gape Hanak hook whilst some are tied on long shank Veniard Osprey hooks. Each fry pattern is tied with FNF Jelly Fritz body material with a foam back. It is the foam back on some of the flies, Blood Red Sparkle, Pink Scale and Blue Scale, which make these eye-catching patterns!
The addition of flexi-floss legs on the UV White Fry will give this fly some extra kick and movement. These are quality floating fry patterns, which sit nicely in the surface film and can be fished static or pulled. These will no doubt work this backend but I would be confident that the Prawn and Pink Scale would work all year round.
Flies are available direct from My Fishing Flies.
