TFF reviews the Vicuna Dubbing Irish-Inspired Blended Dubbings Selection Box
When Vicuna Dubbing first came on the scene over 12 months ago their blends of Alpaca dubbing in both standard and fine were a pleasure to use. For me this was the closest natural material to seal’s fur, which was easy to dub and created great bodies and thoraxes for my dries. Since then the colours and blends available has grown and the range in the Irish Blended dubbings is something well worth having. There are 19 colours in this range inspired by anglers who live or fish in Ireland such as the Newbon Blue from Donegal’s Alan Newbon and Melvyn’s Claret a blend inspired from the talented fly tyer Melvyn Wood. As you would expect there is a nice mix of olives, yellows, browns and orange with Sunburst Orange and Bright Yellow being two blends which caught my eye for grayling dries. The Irish dubbing is only available at the moment in the selection boxes in which you chose the eight colours you want. The most difficult part of this process will be selecting the eight blends for the selection box! This is nice selection of dubbing with colours that will meet the needs of those who want tie Irish inspired wets and dries and those who are after adding something different to their stillwater and river flies.
Available direct from Vicuna Dubbing.
